I think that's what those step-in poly posts are made out of and I spent about $100 on some of those once and I had to write that off as a $100 lesson. Won't rot in the ground that's for sure, but sunlight breaks it down and makes it brittle. Basically, it's what Legos are made out of. To me the treated post are just guaranteed employment. Yes you could drive them unless you hit a rock or tree root then they would just bounce. I have some post they were called forever post black in color do not know about them if still around. Wait a minute just re read your post you know about the pasture pro's. Why the problem with the black locust in this area hedge is best for a non electric fence and we use them for the hot fence as well. I have been trying the timeless fence post sold also at MFA and also g-2 sold at Powerflex fence. T-posts (plastic insulators never last more than a couple years and post eventually rust ). Eucalyptus (expensive, easy to use, last forever ). Railroad ties (great for corners, but need to split them into smaller sizes for line posts ). I've used treated pine (rots off in 10 years ). I've used locust (last forever, but are hard to work with ). Is the company that made "forever posts" still in business? Or is there a better post out there?
